Maradona

     Maradona is the only player in the world who consistently challenges Pele for being the best footballer in the history of the game. His stocky strong physique, combined with his devastating acceleration power ,side to side with his great balance, meant that he could emerge form trouble to dribble through a clutch of defenders and score or set up a team mate for an assist. Maradona was a saint and sinner combined into one, which led to plenty of confrontations with the authorities on and off the pitch. A flawed genius, like fellow footballer George Best,  it appears that whatever power drives this great brilliance is also infused with a self destruct tendency that had led him to alcohol and drug addiction. whatever the truth is about one of football's most interesting personalities, he is still widely worshiped in Argentina , and at his best, Maradona was an intense, mesmerizing, exceptional player and performer.
